Spring Lippies

With help from Allure, I’m mapping out the top 7 spring lipstick trends and which LipSense color and/or gloss is going to get you the crave-worthy looks that will be on everyone’s lips—literally.

Spring Lip Trends

I love a gorge matte, red; it’s classic, elegant and never goes out of style. My LipSense picks are SheLaLa and Cranberry. While we do have a lovely Crimson Red, it’s got a little shimmer to it—these two colors are matte, and topped with our LipSense Matte Gloss you will have a perfect pout that lasts allllll day! To purchase the Cranberry LipSense, SheLaLa Lipsense or the Matte LipSense Gloss email me (Christy) at everlastingbeautyco@gmail.com. Limited quantities available, so snag one of these lovelies soon!

Next up, magenta lips. I’m not a pink person, I wish I was because I would love to rock this trend, but I feel like a trampy clown when I try. But I love how the 3 shades I have chosen for this Fuscia (yes, that is how it’s spelled-no idea why), Kiss for a Cause and Razzberry are the perfect magenta shades. Top with any of our glosses, but I think that the Rose Gloss would be a lovely pair. All of these beauties, may be purchased by emailing me here!

Electric Orange, which hello, can be achieved with our gorgeous Electric Tangerine. I love this shade for Spring and Summer. This is one of our Limited Edition shades, but because I adore this shade, I stocked up on plenty! (You’re welcome-insert wink.) Again to purchase this limited edition LipSense shade email me directly here.

Baby Blue is probably not a trend I would try; but if you’re hip, you go gurl! Did you know that our ShadowSense eyeshadows can be used as a long-lasting lip color (in addition to many other uses)? For $22 this is a steal!! I use mine for concealer, blush, eyebrows, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow (duh) and lipstick! I love a multi-use tool and this just makes my weird OCD self, so happy! So if you want to give this a shot, get down with your bad self and purchase it here!

Chestnut Rose for the (clothed) nude lady, haha! I love a deep nude and these are some great color options, Honey Rose LipSense will get you that perfect blend of an underlying rose; the other options are great too—Hazelnut LipSense and Praline Rose LipSense, topped with our Rose Gloss will be gorgeous!! To purchase these awesome shades, email me here.

Last but not least, I’m throwing the final two together, glitter and silvery gloss. LipSense glosses can be worn by themselves or topped with any of our 70+ long lasting lip colors to get the prettiest sparkling lips that won’t budge all day! My picks for this trend, Gold Glitter Gloss, Silver Glitter Gloss and our limited edition Diamond Kiss Gloss (which is made with REAL finely crushed diamonds). I feel so fancy wearing it (wink) but actually I really do. Again, claim yours here.

If you’re interested in signing up as a LipSense distributor (because come on you get discounts from 20-50% off retail, it’s pretty wonderful) you can also shoot me an email and I would love to provide you with information or answer any questions you might have. There is no pressure or minimums with this company; you can make it what you to! I think there might be just a few links to my email above, ha, but here it is again everlastingbeautyco@gmail.com.

I’d love to hear from you!

XO,

Christy

SeneGence Makeup Routine: UPDATED

Still learning the in-and-outs of my Mac so this is most certainly not a great video by any means, but I have spent more time than I would like to admit on this, that I’m just going to throw this out into the interwebs regardless. So allow me to introduce to you to, “Part One” of my SeneGence Makeup Routine. The products used for my #basemakeup are: MakeSense Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer (Medium); MakeSense Original Foundation (Beige Chiffon); MakeSense Foundation (Pearlizer); and the most versatile product (IMO) that SeneGence offers, ShadowSense, which can be used as a concealer, highlighter, brow definer/filler, eyeshadow and eyeliner.

Stay tuned for “Part Two” which will include a finalized eye look (mascara) and LipSense. Don’t know how I managed to delete that part of my routine, but I did. I know, I’m sure you’re just dying and waiting on the edge of your seats for this (please pick up on the sarcasm here) but I’ll post the rest of my “tutorial” another day. Can’t make any promises that the video quality will be better, but I can guarantee more sarcasm will be headed your way.

UPDATE: Still not super tech-savvy, but here is my newest video of the full routine 😉

If Your LipSense Isn’t Lasting

I’m fairly new to LipSense as I have only been a distributor for a little over 7 months (and a customer prior to joining), so I am constantly learning new and valuable information, almost daily! Of course all of you LipSense veterans know that there are several factors that play in the longevity of the color; the first is application. You’ll hear this time and time again, because application and technique are often the culprit if your LipSense colors aren’t lasting more than a few hours. Secondly, you’re probably aware that your body’s chemistry and pH levels play a factor in the colors’ lasting ability. This is why LipSense is advertised as lasting anywhere from 4-18+ hours.

But what you might not be aware of is that your chosen color could be playing a huge part in the lasting power. Each tube of color has a varied formulation and mixture of color pigments to arrive at a specific color. Some colors naturally last longer than others because of the different body chemistry of each wearer, but in addition, some colors are thicker or richer in color pigmentations, while others are sheer and thinner. I have personally noticed that Napa doesn’t last as long on me as Roseberry does. I just discovered why this is the case. The LipSense shades that are formulated with Mica, tend to not last as long as the matte finish LipSense shades. Micas create shine and shimmer. They reflect light and are made of particles that are larger than color pigments and may flick off the skin with regular skin movements, such as talking and scraping lip movements like drinking from a cup can facilitate this process. General rule of thumb according to our product knowledge guide, is that you can assume up to an hour of less wear when wearing a Mica color. I simply did not realize this (but, duh it makes perfect sense now)!

So if you are brand new to LipSense Long Lasting Lip Color, I suggest purchasing one of the Matte Colors (to help you choose I have made charts, posted below, of the cool and warm matte shades) first and then adding a Shimmer or Frost to your collection. To help add wear time to one of your Mica colors, try layering with a matte shade as your first layer, followed by your Mica shade as your second and third; but you would most likely have more success if you layered matte, mica, matte. Regardless, this is the most amazing long-lasting lip color on the market!

Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics matte range sell out in 30 minutes – But LipSense Has Your Kylie Dupe Options

If you were hoping to get your hands on one of the Kylie Lip Kits, chances are you are still trying. I can’t speak for the longevity of the Kylie Lip Kits but since LipSense is the only lip color of its kind (it molecularly bonds to your skin to provide 4-18 hours of wear) I’m going to hedge my bets that it will outlast these matte shades.

Lots of lovely ladies (myself included) have been working on coming up Kylie Dupes. Here are some options, of course I LOVE the distributor who was able to get her hands on 3 of Kylie’s to do a side-by-side comparison. All of these dupes are paired with the LipSense Matte Gloss, which you can purchase here and the LipSense colors you may purchase here.

LipSense: 3 Tubes = 27 Color Combos

27 Color Options_1

One of my fave things about LipSense (aside from its staying power) is that you can create your own custom shades by layering colors. If you’re not familiar with the product, application is the key. You need to apply three thin layers, starting from the outside corner of your mouth sweeping in a fluid motion across your lip in one direction. Let each layer dry for 15-30 seconds before applying the next layer. The long-lasting properties of LipSense are enhanced by our moisturizing glosses which feature Shea Butter to help keep your lips moist, plump and protected.

I wanted to give you an example of how you can create some great color combos by mixing up the order of colors and layering sequence. I chose Bombshell, Blu Red (Christina Aguilera’s signature color) and Berry because I think a solid neutral, red and a berry shade are all essential to a girl’s beauty arsenal. So here you go, for $95 ($75 if you already have a gloss) you get 27 lip colors! I’m all about beauty bargains especially with products that are amazeballs.
