Let’s talk for a minute about the different levels of coverage that you can achieve with the SeneGence MakeSense foundations. A common misconception that I’m hearing a lot recently, is that all of the foundations and color correcting tinted moisturizers are waterproof and that is not exactly accurate. Don’t get me wrong, they are all LONG LASTING, but that doesn’t equate to all of them being waterproof.
Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer

MakeSense Original Foundation
This is the true waterproof foundation! This long-lasting, oil-free liquid foundation can be used on any and all skin types and provides a mechanical shield equivalent to an SPF of 30 when applied after SeneDerm Daytime Moisturizer. Each shade can be used on a multitude of skin tones and adapts to your skin pigmentation. It’s actually quite remarkable, it can adjust by 2 shades darker or lighter than your skin color, so you don’t have to worry when selecting shades. MakeSense Advanced Anti-Aging Foundation
This powerful, creamy foundation is water-resistant and full of protective ingredients that help prevent damage to your skin and shields it from environmental hazards. These foundations are blended with moisturizers, minerals and vitamins containing long-lasting color pigments that adjust to a wide range of skin tones, just like its predecessor. Like all anti-aging foundations, one of the main benefits is that it moisturizers your skin cells to keep them young and supple so if you’re prone to oily skin, this is not going to be the foundation for you. If you have combination skin, and tend to veer more on the dry side, this is a great option for you.
I use all 3 depending on the coverage needed that day. If I am going to the pool, or just out in the Oklahoma heat during the summer, 99.9% of the time I am wearing my original MakeSense foundation because I need it to stay in place and not budge! During a majority of the year however, I prefer to wear the Advanced Anti-Aging because in my mid-thirties I’m much more cognizant of my skincare needs and preventing and decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. I also have combination skin, so I’m not bothered by extra moisturizer! On days that I literally have 3-5 minutes to get ready and don’t want to look like an extra on the Walking Dead, I wear my Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer (“CCTM”). With all 3, I always wear the MakeSense Pearlizer or EyeLuminator (which is eye cream mixed with Pearlizer) because it creates an instant luminous and radiant glow. Just dabbing a touch under your tired eyes, makes a world of difference.
